Last night Ann Coulter came to my University. The College Republicans paid her $23,000 to spread her hatred across the campus. This is enough to make me scream, rip every strand of hair out of my head, and scream again. I was part of the peace rally that took place outside of the entrance to the auditorium where Ann was speaking. A big group of us got together, went in to her speech, and believe me, she wasted no time in starting to bash on Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and liberals in general. Apparently, liberals are the reason terrorists attack us...um....no? Needless to say, 15 minutes into her speech, half of our big group got up and walked out, and 30 minutes in, my group, which was twice the size of the first group, got up and left. As we were walking out, Ms. Coulter reacted to the big group leaving with, "Well, I wasn't aware how many people were so unenthused by me" Well, Ann, we have no place for your hatred against liberals, democrats, Islamics, Jews, and whomever else you may hate on our campus, let alone in general. People are so blinded by what America is really about. It's not about telling women they aren't able to get abortions, or gays they can't get married. It is about being FREE and doing what YOU want to do with your life. If you don't agree with an abortion then DON'T GET ONE, but don't tell someone else they can't get one. If you aren't gay, then DON'T MARRY SOMEONE OF THE SAME SEX AS YOU. It's as simple as that people, don't worry about what other people want to do with their lives, worry about your own. And stop the drama, bullshit, and hatred all Right Wing Nuts spread upon people like me. Leave us alone, and we'll leave you alone. It's as simple as that.
